Color Marble Work

During my undergraduate studies at San Jose State University, I began experimenting with adding Mason Stains to clay in order to explore color beyond what I could capture with glazes. While having an unusually colored piece was fascinating to me I also felt that I could expand upon what I was doing and began marbling the colors. I've since become thoroughly addicted to making these kinds of pieces not only because of the color but also because I love the unpredictability of the patterns. I never know what I'm going to get and I love how no two pieces can ever be the same.
